Meditation Libation

1.5 oz Tanqueray 10
.5 oz Green Chartreuse
.5 oz Simple Syrup
1 sugar cube
1 cucumber slice
2 mint leaves
1 dash rose water
1 oz fresh lime juice
2 Tblsp diced fresh honeydew melon

Build in pint glass, muddle all n/a ingredients, add spirits, fill with ice, shake with vigor for 10 seconds, julep strain over fresh ice in highball glass, garnish with sprig of mint and cucumber wheel.

Second Place: Brian Imes, JJ’s
Asian Pear

1 ¾ oz Absolut Pear Vodka
¾ oz Cold Sake
½ oz simple syrup
Splash pineapple juice

Shake ingredients with ice, strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish w/ thin slice of pear and ginger.

Third Place: Beau Williams, JP Wine bar
Ginger Julep

1 ½ oz Maker’s Mark Bourbon
2 thin slices of ginger root
1 tsp super fine sugar
½ oz fresh lime juice
1 sprig of mint
Splash of ginger beer

Muddle sugar, mint, lime, and minced ginger in cocktail shaker. Add Bourbon and ice, stir vigorously and strain immediately in white wine glass filled with crushed ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish w/ sprig of mint.
