Children at Asirvad Orphanage in India.

Ashirvad Orphanage – Tuni, India: There are over 80 children living at this home, 45 fully supported by HALO. This includes all needs of the children, staffing, a building for them, education, and medical supplies. The other children in the home are provided beds and a box to keep their things in. It is our goal to expand this home, allowing more children to come in off the streets. This area was affected greatly by the Tsunami and in 2004, HALO provided funding for local children.

Lily of the Valley Orphanage – Tijuana, Mexico: This is the first orphanage HALO supported and has had a lasting relationship with the children and staff of this home for 3 years. HALO provides this home with tuition for education, school uniforms, and other supplies. HALO also funds projects such as providing a school room for 3-5 year olds, staff to care for toddlers, and basic upkeep of the home. There are 90-110 children in this home at any given time. In the fall of 2007, HALO sent a team of volunteers including a dentist to provide general care for the children.

Timau Orphanage – Timau, Kenya: This home was established in January of 2007 in the mountains of Kenya. Currently there are 26 very grateful boys who stay here. Almost every child lost their parents to the AIDS epidemic.

HALO Homes Uganda - Kampala, Uganda: HALO currently provides funding for several homes in Kampala, Uganda for boys and girls who were once living on the street. The mentors of these homes are very passionate about teaching the children life and leadership skills.

Land of Judah – Managua, Nicaragua: There are over 50 children who are cared for at this orphanage. HALO recently established an Educational Center that provides computer training and English classes for the children. The average income in Nicaragua is $2 per day. If the children become proficient in computer and English skills, they will be able to earn twice that amount as adults.

Tumaini Home – Children from Naibor and Isiolo, Kenya: Also hit by the AIDS epidemic, 30 children were sleeping on the floor of three mud huts until recently. HALO fully supports this home with all needs of the children including beds, school fees, tuition, and funding for basic needs.

Niles Home for Children - Kansas City, Missouri: HALO has partnered with Niles Home for Children which provides residential treatment, day treatment and education services to over 150 children, annually. Niles serves children ages 7 through 17 from eastern Kansas and across Missouri. HALO provides the youth of Niles Home with Art Therapy and Educational/Vocational workshops.

Samaritan House – Denver, Colorado: Samaritan House is a homeless shelter for at risk families and children in downtown Denver. HALO provides Art Therapy and other programs for 7-12 year old children weekly.

We offer programs for orphanages all over the world. If you are interested please contact us at halo@haloworldwide.org.
