Makarere Home – Kampala, Uganda

The Makarere home in Kampala, Uganda currently supports 18 boys and has the capacity to support up to 25.  The Makarere Home is fully supported by Keith and Bonnie Connell who live in Kansas City, MO.  The Makarere Children’s Home is part of a global movement focused on providing healthy living environments, education and resources for parentless and abandoned children. The home offers a family based setting where each child’s full well being is the focus. Beyond food, clothing, standard education and medical attention, the mentors and caregivers also incorporate art, sports, music, community service, and moral precepts into daily life.
