HALO Hero

Meet Kennedy Kiiru
His mother died in 2004, leaving behind seven children. They have no record of their father. Kennedy and his siblings worked on a farm so they would have food. He was unable to attend school. The children slept on the floor, sharing one blanket, in a cold region of Kenya. The village chief brought Kennedy and some of his siblings to the HALO Home because of their desperate need. Kennedy was in elementary school at the age of 16 because he had missed so much school. He is now in vocational training, reaching his dream of becoming a carpenter. You can help children like Kennedy achieve their deams by donating today.

How to donate

By donating $84 a month to HALO, you can provide food, water, shelter, clothing, education, and art therapy directly to orphans worldwide. With the help of Woodland Charities, you can now double that donation. When you sign up to donate $84 a month, Woodland Charities will make a $1000 donation to provide HALO-supported children with an opportunity to attend vocational training or college. This will dramatically affect their futures by giving them the tools to become contributing members of their communities. With your commitment and the matching donation from Woodland Charities, HALO-supported children can follow their dreams.
