HALO House
Check out the video of the orphans you are helping (by HALO Ambassador Josh Fry). It is currently running on Current TV!
Former Chiefs quarterback and Missouri State Senator Bill Kenney has offered to donate the profits from the sale of a Lee's Summit property to fund the construction of an orphanage in India. The sale of the nearly finished Monarch View home – which has come to be known as the HALO House - will allow 76 orphans in the coastal municipality of Tuni, India to move from a small, rented building to a permanent structure away from the floodlands.

HALO hopes to erect 3 buildings in India which will provide a much more suitable living environment and move the children away from the flooding in the area. An area highly susceptible to flooding and monsoons, location is key in India.

If everything goes according to plan, the proceeds from The HALO House, which is listed at $329,000, will meet the $50,000 goal for the new orphanage. The HALO House is great opportunity for a family looking for a home in Lee's Summit, and looking to provide a home to children in need.

While HALO is used to receiving a broad range of fundraising ideas, the donation of proceeds from the sale of a house was a novel and welcome offer. Mr. Kenney has banded together businesses in the home building community to make this possible. Mr. Kenney came up with the idea and pitched it to HALO. HALO encourages people to help however they can. When someone is able to combine their passion and expertise with a fundraising project, the results are always fantastic.
